The members of the Board of Trustees, MonCre staff, and I have enjoyed celebrating our successful 50 years in business with our members. All of our events met with huge success and was enjoyed by all. Rain and thunderstorms did very little to dampen our fun and enthusiasm on our night out at the Montgomery Biscuits ballpark. Everyone had such a great time visiting with old friends seldom seen and making new ones that the fact that the game had been rained out went by nearly unnoticed. The "cooperative spirit" was really present that night, and we
appreciate the support of our members to make the night the success it was.
50 years have come and gone, so now we prepare to meet the challenges of the next 50 years. What better way to embark on our next 50 years than to join, once again, with our members in the dedication of our new office facilities. Our Board of Trustee members and all the MonCre staff teamed up to serve our members as tour guides, barbecue servers, ice cream servers, and drink servers, all working together to make your day with MonCre a success and to see that you got the services you deserved. It is this same teamwork and dedication that will continue to see that your Cooperative provides the quality and types of services you desire in the next 50 years.
Many thanks to all our vendor sponsors who responded so generously to make our 50th Anniversary celebrations such a success. I would encourage you to take a look at the list of sponsors, elsewhere in this magazine, and join us in saying a great big "Thank You" to all of them.
As we enter our next 50 years of service, we must remember that this is MonCre Cooperative and that the cooperative part means working together to maintain and build on our success. Technology and its deployment will largely determine our future, but even that is not as important as the continued support of our members. We pledge to do all we can do to earn and foster that much needed support from each of you. Together, our next 50 years will be bigger and better than ever.
Sincerely,

Jerry McGee
