National Do Not Call Registry

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), in conjunction with the Federal
Trade Commission (FTC), has established a National Do Not Call Registry for
consumers who wish to avoid receiving telemarketing calls. Federal enforcement of
the National Do Not Call Registry began October 1, 2003.

The National Do Not Call Registry will not prevent all unwanted calls. For instance, it will not prevent:

  • Calls from organizations with which you have established a business

  • relationship in the preceding 18 months.

  • Calls for which you have given prior written consent.

  • Calls which are not commercial or do not include unsolicited advertisements.

  • Calls by or on behalf of tax-exempt nonprofit organizations or charities.

The National Do Not Call Registry is continuously updated, so your number will be
added to the list at virtually the same time you register. Beginning January 1, 2005,
Telemarketers have 31 days from the date you register to stop calling you.

Please remember that you must re-register with the National Do Not Call Registry
every five years. If you change your telephone number for any reason, you must also re-register to have your new telephone number included on the list.

You may add your residential telephone number, including your wireless number, to the National Do Not Call Registry by visiting www.donotcall.gov. You may also have your number added or removed from the registry by calling 1-888-382-1222 , or for TTY users, 1-866-290-4236, from the telephone number that you want added or removed.

Additional information on the National Do Not Call Registry is available at the Web
address or by calling the toll-free numbers listed above.
