MonCre is staying abreast of these revolutionary changes as we speak. Our network has evolved into one that is as modern and up-to-date as any in the State of Alabama , or in other areas across the country. Even though we will celebrate our 50 th year of service in 2004, MonCre is in the midst of being reborn into this new era of technological advance and change.
Gone are the days when our customer’s expectation was to pick up the telephone, dial a number and be able to talk to friends, neighbors, and family on the other end. Voice service, in many instances, is considered to be coincidental to the ability to surf the World Wide Web over the internet, to send and receive data and even video images, from any place in the world, all over the existing phone lines coming into our homes. There is also, already, a perceived need for even more bandwidth and faster speeds to accomplish these changes.
Although MonCre has seen a lot of progress over the last 50 years, we now find ourselves right at the threshold of new beginnings. It is more important now than ever before that we receive information from our customers, telling us what services and features they desire from our Cooperative. We have worked hard, and continue to do so, to make available a service that is not needed or desired by our customers. I encourage you to give us a call at the MonCre Business Office and tell us about any feature or service you desire that is not presently being offered.
e on the lookout for information coming your way about the plans we have to celebrate our 50 th Anniversary. I hope you will take part and enjoy the things we have planned for you. The last 50 have been great, but expect to see even more exciting days ahead as we begin our countdown to MonCre’s 100 th Anniversary.
Sincerely,
