Representing the Pine Level area, MonCre's wireless board member,Trey Trussell, has now finished his first year of service. With the board's goal to update equipment while being thoughtful, conservative stewards, Trussell is pleased with the direction MonCre has taken. "We are going to be able to compete in the communications market with comparable equipment and pricing,"says Trussell. "That's the good news."
Trussell has enjoyed his first year on MonCre's wireless board and appreciated the reputation of the employees. "I think they are conscientious and doing an excellent job taking care of their customers." Like most board members and MonCre customers,Trey Trussell is native to the area. His love of family, land and nature brings him home from long trips driving for Wayne Miles Trucking to tend to his special interests in cattle and quail farming. Along with a mixed herd of cattle, Trussell raises approximately 14,000 chicks in 12 houses for quail season..
October through March is "preserve season." Receiving day old chicks at end of June, they may ship 2,000 to 3,000 to various locations by late October. He has sent birds to hunting preserves such as Cameron in Aliceville and Yellow Creek in Demopolis and served as a guide for the Crooked Oaks Plantation, a preserve owned by retired Auburn coach, Pat Day.
Both Trey and his wife, Tammy, grew up in Montgomery. Both enjoyed visiting family in the Pine Level are for years, before making South Montgomery home. While Tammy works with general maintenance, their son, Cody, age 17, helps in shipping.
